8.3.2.2.1 Profinet IO Device Interface
The Profinet interface can be set under fieldbus modules if the
device is equipped with a Profinet IO Device interface and the
corresponding licence is released. After selecting the Profinet I/O
Device interface and operating the “Edit” button the mapping
page is called. Settings are made by selecting “Input Mapping”
and/or “Output Mapping” and operating the “Parameter” button
on the left sidebar. The below explained settings can be made via
“Edit”.
Beside the up to now available constant data mapping for data connection is now starting with device version 7.0.1.12 a
variables data mapping is possible as well. Thereby the number of the 64 Bit data modules as well as the assignment is
configurable. This makes sense especially for a “slight” coupling with only relative less data which have to be exchanged with
the Profinet controller.
Thereby the configuration looks as follows:
Profinet IO: Interface Parameters:
Data Designation in the Device
Description, Value Range
Profinet name
1)
Name of the device at Profinet IO bus; the default name is
“nj100repns” and can be adapted according to requirements.
Data mapping
Predefined data blocks
Variable data mapping
Number of input modules
Only for variable data mapping: Number of input modules from
device point of view, in the Profinet IO Controller this corresponds to
the number of output modules; Value range: 0..10
(For data mapping with predefined data blocks this value is
constantly set to 9!)
Number of output modules
Only for variable data mapping: Number of output modules from
device point of view, in the Profinet IO Controller this corresponds to
the number of input modules; Value range: 0..10
(For data mapping with predefined data blocks this value is
constantly set to 13!)
1.)
Please consider the rules of the Profinet naming convention:
• Restriction to 127 characters (alphabetic
character "a" up to "z", numerics"0" up to "9", hyphen or point)
• A name constituent within the device name, i. e. a character string between two points, may only be max. 63 characters long
• No special characters like umlaut, bracket, underscore, slash,
blank etc. The hyphen is the only allowed special character
• In the device name no capital letters may be used
• The device name may not begin or end with the characters "
-" or "."
• The device name may not begin with
numeric characters
• The device name
may not have the form n.n.n.n ( n = 0...999 )
• The device name may not begin with the character string "port
-xyz-" ( x,y,z = 0...9 )
