8.3.7.3 Import configuration from SE-5xx or SE-4xx device
The configuration data of a SE-4xx or SE-5xx device can be
imported to the SE-707. Therefore the file containing data saved
by means of ECS-VIEW (ends on .KON or .MEM) must be copied via
USB connection to a connected data medium. Afterwards the
import to the SE-707 is possible.
Before the actual import information about the found
configuration are displayed and requested which configuration
part should be imported (at present only PLC possible).
NOTE
-
It has to be considered that a possibly already existing older configuration is overwritten without comment.
-
A configuration saved with the program ECS-Konf (ending .KON as well) cannot be imported directly to the SE-707
device. Based on the file size can be recognized whether a “.KON” file was created by ECS-VIEW or ECS-Konf: ECS-VIEW
files are always smaller than 128 KByte; ECS-Konf files are approximately 1 Mbyte.
With the help of a PC and the program SE7-PLC-Editor a PLC statement list created with the program ECS-Konf can be
transferred to the device as alternative for import. The PLC list must be opened in ECS-Konf for this purpose and the
required PLC lines marked and copied by means of the SE-7-PLC-Editor to the Windows clipboard (copy and paste) into
the SE7-PLC-Editor. A detailed description how original comments can also be transferred is described in the operating
manual of the SE7-PLC-Editor program.
8.3.7.4 Import licence file
The licence data of the SE-707 can be updated in order to upgrade
device options (e.g. the optional extended function range).
Therefor the suitable licence file (i.e. with the right device ID) is
copied to an USB stick and connected to the device (file
“SE_SYST.LIC”). Start the licence file import and the licence of the
device is updated correspondingly. If no suitable licence file is
found an error message takes place and the original licence file of
the device remains unchanged.
8.3.7.5 Reset configuration/programs (general reset)
All device data (configuration, programs and parameters) are deleted by operating the corresponding button.
WARNING!
All data in the device get lost.
