NOTICE
When replacing seals and o-rings, use your fingers or a pick to remove
the seal or o-ring. Spray isopropyl alcohol on each part and clean with
a rag. Apply grease to the new seal or o-ring. Only use RockShox®
Dynamic Seal Grease when servicing RockShox shocks.
To prevent damage to the shock use aluminum soft jaws and position
the eyelet in the vise so that the adjustment knobs are clear of the
vise jaws. For bearing mount shocks, wrap a rag around the eyelet,
then clamp the eyelet flat into the vise.
Inspect each part for scratches. Do not scratch any sealing surfaces
when servicing your suspension. Scratches can cause leaks.
To record your adjustment settings, turn the rebound adjuster knob
counter-clockwise until it stops, while counting the number of detent
clicks. This will assist you with post-service set up.
