4. USING FITVIBE
4.1 Introduction
The vibrating device “fitvibe” causes mechanical motions in three directions; the major vector is in the
vertical direction.
The fitvibe unit is extremely easy to use and the operating of the unit is clear and logical. Once you have
become familiar with the functions of the various buttons and the rotary/push button, you should have no
problems using the fitvibe.
fitvibe allows you to use a number of fixed exercises which you can access via the options
Training
and
Relaxation
. Using the
“Make your own”
option, you can set the parameters for your own personalised
exercises.
When the fitvibe is equipped with a card reader, you have the possibility to use the “Intelligent Card
System” (ICS), based on specially developed fitvibe easyTrain-software. (See also point 5)
The end of this manual contains a fold-out diagram of the unit. The numbers used in the following
sections correspond to those in the diagram.
4.2 The fitvibe Control Buttons
4.2.1 The Combined Rotary/Push Button
The rotary/push button (11) on the control panel is used to control the majority of fitvibe’s functions.
Rotate this button to highlight an option and press it to select the function. By repeatedly rotating and
pressing this button you can highlight and select the various menu options and parameters in the fitvibe.
When you select and option or parameter, the next screen automatically appears on the display.
4.2.2 " Skip forward” Button
By using the button
,pre-programmed exercises as well as exercises proposed by ICS can be skipped.
4.2.3 "Return to Main Menu” Button
Using the "Return to Main Menu" button
you can go directly to the main menu on the display.
4.2.4 "System Settings / Skip back” Button
Using the "System Settings" button
you can open the system settings menu. See Section 2.8.
When using the ICS chip cards, skipped exercises can be re-activated.
4.2.5 Yellow and Green Indicator Lights
If you are in the middle of programming a training session on the fitvibe, the yellow indicator light (13)
beside the start/stop button on the control panel shows that the vibration training cannot be started. The
green indicator (14) only lights when the fitvibe is in exercise mode and/or vibration training can be
started.
4.2.6 Start/Stop Buttons
The fitvibe unit has three start/stop buttons which can be used independent to start and stop the vibration:
an orange-coloured Start/Stop button (3) is located on the control panel below the rotary/push
button (11);
a Start/Stop footswitch (12) is located on the handrail support at the same level as the vibration
plate;
the hand-held remote switch (16) is connected by a cable to the control panel.
You can use any of these buttons to start and stop the vibration from any position.
