5. FAULTS, GUARANTEE, MAINTENANCE AND
CLEANING
5.1 Faults
•
THE UNIT WILL NOT SWITCH ON.
Check and make sure that the mains power is on, that the mains switch is turned on and that the
power cable and fuses are o.k. If the fuses have blown, you can change them yourself but you MUST
use the same type of fuse. The exact type of fuse is listed on the unit’s type plate. You can order fuses
from your "fitvibe medical Pro" supplier
•
A FOREIGN LANGUAGE appears on the display.
Using the system settings menu, select the desired language. If the error still appears, contact your
local supplier.
•
NONE OF THE CONTROL ELEMENTS WORK.
Switch the unit off and on again. If the error still appears, contact your local supplier.
5.2 Guarantee and Service
•
any repairs, modifications or enhancements must only be carried out by authorised personnel;
•
the electrical system in the area where the unit is to be used must comply with all applicable
regulations;
•
the unit must only be operated by qualified personnel in accordance with the operating instructions;
•
the unit must only be used for its intended purpose;
•
the unit must be serviced regularly and in accordance with the relevant information;
•
the legal requirements relating to the use of the unit must be observed at all times.
With the exception of the fuses, the "fitvibe medical Pro" unit does not contain any user-serviceable parts.
Uniphy Elektromedizin GmbH & Co. KG and its representatives shall not be held responsible for damage,
injuries, faults or malfunctions caused as a result of improper use or failure to observe maintenance
instructions. Servicing and guarantees are provided through your local supplier. The suppliers terms of
delivery shall apply. The guarantee will become void if the unit is not used in accordance with the points
outlined above. The expected working life of the unit is 10 years.
5.3 Maintenance
The manufacturer recommend that the unit be serviced annually by qualified service personnel. The
following checks should be carried out at the very least:
•
check all screws and mechanical joints
•
visual inspection of all cables and connectors
•
check the functioning of the hand-held remote and foot switches
•
inspect the rubber springs for signs of damage
5.4 Cleaning the Unit
Clean the vibration plate, control unit and accessories using a moisten cloth. Use a mild, non-abrasive
cleaning agent.
The handrail can be cleaned using a standard surface disinfectant.
