Cause C: There is air trapped in the pumping system.
Remedy: Fill oil reservoir to correct level with the piston cylinder fully
retracted and proceed to bleed any air in the oil out of the
system using the Oil Bleed Kit of parts P/N GS25490 – Press
Service Procedure 2S-25490-1.
Cause D: There is a leak pass the “Dowty” seal on the manifold block.
Remedy: Contact Specac and give serial number of press. Replace
the Dowty seal for the Atlas Power Press using the Dowty
Seal Kit of parts P/N GS25493 – Press Service Procedure
2S-25493-1.
Cause E: Solenoid valves dirty or damaged.
Remedy: Contact Specac and give serial number of press.
Cause F: Pressure relief valve dirty or damaged.
Remedy: Contact Specac and give serial number of press.
Cause G: Motor/pump damaged or worn out.
Remedy: Contact Specac and give serial number of press. Replace
the motor/pump assembly for the Atlas Power Press using
the Motor/Pump Assembly Kit of parts P/N GS25492 – Press
Service Procedure 2S-25492-1.
Fault 6: Oil pressure in system increases but a full tonnage load
capability cannot be applied.
Cause A: Oil temperature has become too hot from excessive running
of the motor/pump assembly. (Oil is now too thin).
Remedy: Stop using the press for 15 minutes to allow the oil to cool
down and re-apply a full tonnage load.
Cause B: There is a loss of oil (oil leak) from the system.
Remedy: Check for signs of oil beneath the electronics box (possible
motor/pump problem) or beneath the pressing frame area
(possible piston cylinder assembly problem). If there is an oil
leak contact Specac and give serial number of press.
Replace the main piston assembly of the Atlas™ Power
Press using the Piston Assembly Kit of parts P/N GS25491 –
Press Service Procedure 2S-25491-1.
