Under a program that you can create, a Hold Time function for no “top-
up” of the load can be included as a segment. In the standard PZ
Simple Operation Program, the Hold Time is
subject to an automatic
“top-up” of the applied load. Automatic “top-up” of a load means that
during the holding of an applied load, if the set load reading reduces in
value (e.g. the sample being pressed may be yielding), then the press
automatically works to re-apply the load to the intended set tonnage
load value.
Load Release Rates
Under a program sequence you can select a choice of three different
load release rates – fast, medium or slow – as a particular segment.
Under the PZ Simple Operation Program the standard release rate is
set to a fast release.
Programming
For the purposes of explanation the PZ (Zero) Simple Operation
Program is loaded as the working program on the press.
The Programming Screen is accessed from the Directory Screen or the
Operation Screen by selecting PGM from the Menu Bar using the left
(
14 ) or right ( 15 ) button to illuminate and accepting by pressing the
accept (tick) button ( 16 ).
If you access the Programming Screen via the Directory Screen the
details of the program selected will be displayed (segment details and
program number) as at example PGM1 via the following steps. (e.g.
P04 has been selected).
Having accepted PGM whilst in the Directory screen, illuminate P#
symbol and accept. The slider scale on the Menu Bar will be shown.
Move the slider cursor to the relevant P# to select by the left (
14 ) or
right ( 15 ) buttons (in our example P4) and then press accept button
( 16 ). A typical screen as at PGM1 is shown on the next page.
