Setting the Time Period
You can perform settings for various operations, such
as the automatic switching operation, the mask
function, and the activity sensor operation, individually
for each quarter of a day (ex. morning, daytime,
evening, and night).
Two settings A and B are possible.
Perform settings on the submenu 5. TIME PERIOD
SET of the main menu 1. INITIAL SET.

Select 1. INITIAL SET from the main menu.

Select 5. TIME PERIOD SET from the submenu.
The TIME PERIOD SET menu appears.

Specify the time period.
1)
Select TIME PERIOD A, then turn the Shuttle
dial clockwise.
The two left figures of T1 flash.
2)
Enter each hour figure of the beginning time
(24-hour display) for the period T1 with the Jog
dial, then turn the Shuttle dial clockwise.
The minute figures for T1 flash.
3)
Enter each minute figure of the beginning time
for the period T1 with the Jog dial, then turn the
Shuttle dial clockwise.
The two left figures of T2 flash.
4)
Specify the beginning time of T2, T3, and T4 in
the same manner.
Perform settings of T1 to T4 for the time period
setting B.

Select the time-period setting A or B for each
operation, such as the automatic switching
operation (
page 21
), the mask function (
page 22
)
and the activity sensor operation (
page 33
).
Notes
• Set as T1<T2<T3<T4.
• If you set T2 to “00:00,” you can also set T3 and T4
only to “00:00.”
Similarly, if you set T3 to “00:00,” you can also set
T4 only to “00:00.”
• If T1 to T4 are all set to “00:00” as the default status,
T2 to T4 are considered not to be defined, and only
the T1 setting is valid for all-day recording (00:00 to
00:00).

With the above settings, the time periods are defined
as follows, TIME PERIOD A is applied to the mask
function, and TIME PERIOD B is applied to the
activity sensor function.

T1 06:00 to 12:00
T2 12:00 to 18:00
T3 18:00 to 22:00
T4 22:00 to 06:00
TIME PERIOD B
T1 08:00 to 20:00
T2 20:00 to 08:00
T3 undefined
T4 undefined
When the settings are completed
Press the EXIT button to exit the menu.
