The recorder automatically starts alarm recording
when it detects the specified trigger.
For the trigger, you can select the following alarm
signals independently or in combination:
1. External alarm input
2. Internal activity detection sensor (detection of a
change in luminance at the specified points on the
picture)
By activating pre-alarm recording, the recorder
continues recording the camera input, overwriting the
data for the specified duration. When the trigger is
detected, the recorder switches to regular alarm
recording. This enables you to check the image a
certain time before the trigger is actually detected.
Settings for Alarm Recording
For alarm recording, you may set the following
requirements, including the trigger.
Use the submenu 7. ALARM REC MODE SET of the

PICTURE QUALITY, AUDIO RECORDING
These items can be set the same as for normal

ALARM INTERLEAVE
SW: To alternately record the image from the camera
in alarm status and those of all of the other
connected cameras.
Ex.:
Alarm camera
t
Normal camera A
t
Alarm camera
t
Normal camera B
t
Alarm camera
t
Normal camera C, etc.
If multiple alarms are generated, the images of the
cameras in alarm status will be recorded in
sequence, and those of the cameras in normal
status will be inserted in between.
Ex.:
Alarm camera 1
t
Normal camera A
t
Alarm camera 2
t
Normal camera B
t

Normal camera C
t
Alarm camera 2
t
Normal camera D, etc.
ONLY: To record the image from the camera in
alarm status only. If multiple alarms are
generated, the images of the cameras in alarm
status are recorded in sequence.
REC RATE
Set the recording rate in the same manner as for
normal recording.
When you set the recording rate, a calculation is made
using the size of the alarm recording area and the
selected recording quality. The third line from the
bottom indicates how many events can be recorded.
DURATION
5 SEC–15 MIN: Set the duration of alarm recording
for all the active cameras in common.
CC: To make recording as long as the alarm signal is
ON (1 second at minimum).
PRE-ALARM RECORDING
To perform pre-alarm recording, set PRE-ALARM
RECORDING to ON, and select REC RATE and
DURATION for pre-alarm recording.
Notes
• When you specify pre-alarm recording, the recording
rate is limited to 30 FPS (HSR-X206) or 25 FPS
(HSR-X206P), and the recording rate in normal
recording and that in pre-alarm recording are
automatically modified. Check the settings.
• You cannot highlight PRE-ALARM RECORDING
on the display with ALARM RECORDING set to
OFF.
