3. Using the drawstring

attached to the battery pack, slowly pull and support the battery pack out

of the transponder.

Battery Fitment

Before fitting a new battery pack ensure there are no obstructions inside the pressure housing.

1. Ensure the replacement battery is the correct type and check for any leakages or damage.

2. Position the transponder on a clean dry bench.

Note

The battery pack should be able to slide smoothly inside the transponder housing. If any

resistance is felt, remove the battery and inspect the transponder housing.

3. With the battery connector

facing outwards, support the battery pack

and slide into the

transponder housing.

4. Position the bulkhead plate

so the machined rim is outer most. Feed the battery connection

lead

through the bulkhead plate; see

Figure 8–1
