Type and Config
The Type Number is a four digit number beginning with an ‘8’ e.g. 8300 – Compatt 6 and 8305 – AMT.
The following four digits indicate the depth rating, material housing size and transducer type as
indicated in the table below: e.g. 8300-3111 – Standard MF Omni Compatt 6.

Transducer
The transducer type; MF/LMF omni-directional or MF/LMF directional.
Housing Rating
This is the nominal pressure rating of the transponder housing. The sensor endcap may be rated less
than the housing limit. Check the endcap label and use the lower figure.
Unit ID
The Unit ID box shows the unique identification number for the transponder. The Unit ID number is
required to upgrade the software to aid the functionality of the transponder. The Unit ID cannot be
changed and is stored on the CPU/Motherboard.
Address
The Address Box contains the acoustic command identity of the transponder. The acoustic address is
used by the transceiver to communicate with the transponder. The first two digits of the address define
the code or family group, the last two digits of the address define the channel number. It is
recommended that the information on the address label is kept up to date.
