10. Disconnect the battery
, battery disconnect fob
(if fitted) and transducer
cable
connectors by pressing in the connector locking pin and pulling out.
8.10.2 Fitment of the Omni-Directional Transducer Endcap
1. Inspect the transducer endcap for any signs of damage, pay particular attention to the O-ring
seals and groove.
2. Inspect the O-rings and replace if necessary.
3. Lubricate the O-rings; see
Section 8.5.2 "Endcap O-Rings"
4. Position the transducer endcap next to the transponder housing.
5. Connect the white transducer endcap cable to the white connection block.
6. Connect the battery disconnect fob connector (if fitted) to the black connection block.
7. Connect the battery connector to the black connection block.
Note
Observe the position of the transducer cable, ensure the cable does not become trapped when
inserting the transducer.
8. Slowly rotate the transducer to coil the cable inside the bulkhead plate; push the transducer into
the housing taking care not to trap the cable.
9. Position the clamp rings
in the grooves on the endcap; see
.
10. Slide the rubber bumper stop
over the endcap and align with the holes in the clamp rings.
