8. Using a lint free cloth, clean around the O-ring seals; see
Figure 8–6 Cleaning the O-ring Seals (Omni-Directional shown for Reference)
Note
Remove the transducer endcap slowly to prevent the cables becoming detached.
9. Pull the transducer endcap slowly from the transponder body. Take care not to pull too hard or
suddenly resulting in the cables becoming detached from the housing.
10. Disconnect the battery

connectors by pressing in the connector locking pin and pulling out.
8.9.2 Fitment of the Directional Transducer Endcap
1. Inspect the transducer endcap for any signs of damage, pay particular attention to the O-ring
seals and groove.
2. Inspect the O-rings and replace if necessary.
