13.12 Nett Upthrust
Is the difference between the net buoyancy of the float and the total weight of an object, or objects, in
water that it is supporting, e.g.
Nett Upthrust =
(Minimum net buoyancy of the Float) – (the weight of the inst inserts in water).
e.g. 30 kg – (11.2 + 0.5) kg = 17.3 kg net upthrust
