4.5 INSTALLATION OR REPLACEMENT OF SPINDLE INSERT
(AT CHANGE OF THE BAR DIAMETER)
The user shall ensure appropriate spindle inserts, see Chapter 4.3.
How to replace the spindle insert
•
In the manual mode, move the pusher into the upper limit position.
•
Release 3 lock screws 4.3/1, and move the channel in the lowest position by means of
the set screw 4.3/2 (beyond the scale 4.3/3 indicating the bar diameter – red field).
•
Release the spindle insert and move it from the lathe spindle.
•
Push the new insert into the lathe spindle, and fix it.
•
Set the channel position according to the bar diameter, and tighten 3 lock screws 4.3/1.
4.6 SETTING THE CHANNEL POSITION

How to set the channel position
•
In the manual mode, move the pusher into the upper limit position.
•
Release 3 lock screws 4.3/1.
•
Using the set screw 4.3/2, move the channel according to the scale 4.3/3 in a position
corresponding roughly to the bar diameter.
•
Put a new bar into the channel, and moving it by hand, check the bar and spindle insert
alignment. Adjust the channel position by the set screw, if need be.
•
Tighten 3 lock screws 4.3/1.
•
Ensure that the bar can go freely into the lathe spindle.
4.7 SETTING THE MAGAZINE POSITION
(AT CHANGE OF THE BAR DIAMETER)
To ensure proper separation of individual bars in loading, the bar magazine position must be
set correctly with regard to the loading mechanism.
How to set the magazine position
•
Insert best of all two bars into the magazine and set a required angle using the nut 4.4/1.
•
Slacken the lock nut 4.4/3, and by means of the set screw 4.4/2 set the magazine plate to
such a way that the loading mechanism can take only one bar.
•
Secure the magazine position by the nut 4.4/3 and test the loading in the manual mode.
