(i) Install a shorting cap on the COMP receptacle on the test unit.
(j) Push the PRESS TO MEASURE switch on the test unit.
(k) Turn the TANK CAP PF thumbwheels until the meter shows the minimum value.
NOTE:
If you turn the thumbwheels to a position farther than the correct position, the value
increases.
1) Turn the D.F. CONTROL knob until the meter shows the minimum value.
NOTE:
If you turn the knob to a position farther than the correct position, the value
increases.
(l) Make sure the thumbwheels are set to the capacitances with the applicable tolerance:

(m) If the thumbwheels are set to a value out of the applicable range of capacitance values, do
the test for the tank units and the compensator (Ref 28-41-21/501).
(n) Set the battery switch to OFF.
(o) Disconnect the UNSHIELDED wire bundle from the test unit.
(p) Install a shorting plug on the UNSHIELDED wire bundle.
(q) Remove the shorting plug from the COMP wire bundle.
(r) Connect the COMP wire bundle to the LO-Z TANK receptacle on the test unit.
(s) Set the battery switch to ON.
(t) Push the PRESS TO MEASURE switch.
(u) Turn the TANK CAP PF thumbwheels until the meter show the minimum value.
NOTE:
If you turn the thumbwheels to a position farther than the correct position, the value
increases.
(v) Turn the D.F. CONTROL knob until the meter shows the minimum value.
