Refueling Station Access Door
B. Procedure
(1) Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:
(a) P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) FUEL
QTY
2) EP GND FUELING
(2) Write the values shown on the fuel quantity indicators
(3) Push and hold the QTY TEST switch adjacent to the fuel quantity indicators.
CAUTION:
HOLDING THE TEST SWITCH FOR LONGER THAN 30 SECONDS WILL LOG
ERROR CODE 4.
(4) Continue to hold the fuel quantity test switch until the indicators show ERR with a zero shown in
the right digit of the fuel quantity display and immediately release the QTY TEST switch.
(5) After the QTY TEST switch is released, make sure the indicators do these steps in this sequence:
(a) The indicators show each error code currently stored in the indicator memory for two seconds
each.
(b) The indicators show all segments of the display for two seconds.
(c) The indicators show the maximum tank capacity value for two seconds.
(d) The indicators show the same value that you wrote before with a tolerance of
±
20 pounds
(
±
20 kilograms).
(e) If error codes are shown, refer to AMM 28-41-04/101 to repair the problems shown by the
error codes.
(6) Open the access door, 6540, for the refuel control panel (P15).
(7) Write the values shown on the refuel quantity indicators.
(8) Set and hold the test switch to TEST GAGES.
(9) Make sure the refuel quantity indicators go to a value of zero and show error code 7 (type 2101
refuel indicator only) after approximately 5-6 seconds. The type 2120 refuel indicator will blank for
2 seconds, show all segments for 2 seconds, and show full tank quantity for 2 seconds –
continuing to cycle.
NOTE:
The fuel quantity indicators (in the flight compartment) will show the fuel quantity
that they showed before the test with a tolerance of
±
3%. They will show ERR
after 30 seconds to 45 seconds if the test switch at the refuel station is pushed for
that length of time.
EFFECTIVITY
(10) Release the test switch (immediately after you see ERR 7 and make sure the refuel indicators go
blank for 1-2 seconds, then show all segments for 2 seconds – type 2101 refuel indicator only),
and then the values that you wrote before this step with a tolerance of
±
20 pounds (
±
20
kilograms).
