B. Adjust fuel quantity indicator (empty) at the pilot’s panel.
1. Open “FUEL QTY” circuit breaker.
2. At the pilot’s panel, pull the indicator of tank to be calibrated out from the panel for access to the
DCTU. Remove the screw and slide the ID plate off the back of the DCTU with the indicator remaining
connected.
3. Place “CAL-RUN” jumper in “CAL” mode.
4. Close “FUEL QTY”. The indicator will display “CAL”.
5. Depress both “UP” and “DOWN” select buttons simultaneously. The indicator will display “P01” for one
second and one analog segment will illuminate. After displaying “P01”, the display will change to show
either “LB” or “KG”.
6. Adjust to the appropriate units by pressing the “UP” button for LB and the “DOWN” button for the KG
units.
7. Depress both “UP” and “DOWN” select buttons simultaneously. The indicator will display “P02” for one
second and two analog segments will illuminate. After displaying “P02”, the display will change to show
the last entered value.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU PUSH THE SWITCHES AT THE SAME TIME. IF YOU DO NOT, YOU WILL
CHANGE THE VALUES THAT YOU ENTERED BEFORE THE INDICATOR GOES TO THE NEXT
PARAMETER.

8. Adjust the displayed value to the dry tank capacitance value obtained in step 3.E.4(l) by using the
select buttons as required.
NOTE: 86.75 pF is entered as 868
1036.5 pF is entered as 10365
9. Press the “Press To Test” switch for fuel quantity gages at the PILOT’S panel. The indicator will count
down from 60 and display “P03” for one second and three analog segments will illuminate. After
displaying “P03”, the display will change to show the last entered value.
10. Adjust the displayed value to the appropriate value as noted below by using the select buttons as
required:

11. Depress both “UP” and “DOWN” select buttons simultaneously. The indicator will display “P04” for one
second and four analog segments will illuminate. After displaying “P04”, the display will change to
show the last entered value.
12. Adjust the displayed value to the appropriate full weight value plus 5%. The full weight is calculated as
the Placard volume multiplied by nominal fuel density.
