5.4 Bypass mode
A bypass mode was added to in the SMD 1B,
SMD2 and SMD 3 low meters to improve
servicing and reduce downtimes. That makes
it possible to perform any service work without
having to change the low meters’ settings
(throttle screw) and without adversely affecting
the lube points. The bypass function is identical
for low meters SMD 1B, SMD 2 and SMD 3.
5.5 Bypass closed (operating position)
The lubricant lows from the inlet port to the
outlet port via the gear chamber of the gear
wheel-type low indicator and the throttle
screw (Fig. 7).
