Operator’s Manual SIDEXIS XG
● Check box
"Apply as default values"
The entered size and position of further print-outs are saved when the
control box
"Apply as default values"
is activated.
If the check box is deactivated, only a single printout in the print preview
will be printed.
Field "Size"
● "100%" option field
The image is printed out in the original size of the exposure.
● The size depends on the size information contained in the image.
● If the size information is missing in the image, the image will be printed
with a width of 60 mm.
● X-ray images which have been obtained directly from a SIDEXIS
exposure or imported to the SIDEXIS database via "TIF" export are
printed in the size of the sensor area.
● Option buttons
"Page-filling"
The size of the printout is adjusted so that the maximum printable area is
fully utilized.
● Option buttons
"Variable"
The size can be adjusted.
● Check box
"Limit to printable size"
When the check box
"Limit to printable size"
is activated, the size of the
print out is limited to the maximum printable area.
Contents of the "Position" field

"Edge of hole"
When the check box
"Edge of hole"
is activated, a space is left in left page
margin for punching holes.
The image size is reduced accordingly.
● Positioning box
The image position can be determined via the option buttons in the
positioning box.

Scanning images
Explanation
The SIDEXIS XG system can read image data from any TWAIN-compatible
device (scanner, digital camera, etc.) into the database.
If several TWAIN devices are installed on the system, the appropriate device
can be selected using the
"Select scanner"
function.
Scope
All TWAIN-compatible devices are permitted.
The main purpose of this function is to allow you to include conventional X-
rays in the SIDEXIS database.
NOTICE
The representation and resolution of scanned images depends on the
performance and the settings of the scanner as well as the quality of the
original.
