For distances greater than 5 m a terminal connection box must be inserted
between photometer and control unit. This makes it possible to connect and
disconnect the photometer to the control unit quickly.

The use of a SITRA makes it possible to bridge SIREL distances of up to
1,400 m. The SITRA functions as a signal amplifier.
