9.6 Error Messages
The error messages listed here are those that require a detailed explanation. All other errors are obvious and can easily be corrected.
Messages Cause
The received telegram does not make
sense! A serious error has occurred in the telegram traffic. Switch off
the ES 030 and set to download mode of operation again.
File cannot be opened for writing. Check path! The contents of the ES 030 user memory have been read,
cannot be written into the indicated file, however. I.e.:
- the declared path (subdirectory) does not exist
- The drive is not ready (no diskette in drive)
- illegal character contained in the file name
The indicated file is not an S5 file! The file to be transferred is not an S5 file. The S5 file stored
under MS-DOS is not an S5 file, has unintentionally been
modified, or the program PCOPY does not function properly.
Receiving error on the 3964R driver! There is interference in the communication between the
PG/PC and the ES 030 or the communication cannot be
established. Switch off the ES 030 and set to download
mode of operation again.
The ES 030 indicates: <Receiving Error!> A serious error has occurred in the telegram traffic. Switch off
the ES 030 and set to download mode of operation again.
The ES 030 indicates: <EEPROM
programming/erase error>
The S5 file transferred contains too many blocks (not enough
ES 030 memory or the user program is too long) or the
EEPROM is defective.
The ES 030 indicates: <No S5 block in user memory!> No S5 blocks exist in the ES 030 (user memory is empty/has
been erased).
The ES 030 indicates: <Unknown command!> A serious error has occurred in the telegram traffic. Switch off
the ES 030 and set to download mode of operation again.
Error while writing to file! The contents of the ES 030 user memory have been read,
cannot be written into the indicated file, however. I.e.:
- the declared path (subdirectory) does not exist
- The drive is not ready (no diskette in drive)
- illegal character contained in the file name
Error during PCP/M to DOS conversion. Check file
name or parameters!
The PCOPY call has been terminated in dialogue operation but
the designated file has not been copied from PCP/M to
MS-DOS. I.e.:
- the declared file name is incorrect
- the file does not exist under this user or drive under PCP/M
- the file could not be copied because there is no PCP/M
diskette in the drive or the diskette is not formatted for
PCP/M
- no PCP/M partition exists on the hard disk or on the
diskette
Error in the initialisation string! The serial interface of the PG/PC cannot be initialised. It is not
an IBM compatible computer or the interface component is
defective.
Timeout during transmit. Check partner device! There is interference in the communication between the PG/PC
and the ES 030 or the communication cannot be established.
Switch off the ES 030 and set to download mode of operation
again.
Driver error. File cannot be found. Not an S5 file! The file to be transferred is not an S5 file. The S5 file stored
under MS-DOS is not an S5 file, has unintentionally been
modified, or the program PCOPY does not function properly.
