3.4.4.2 MOBY-I
Connection 1
The tasks for MOBY are to be defined in a command list
compiled by the user. Each task can consist of a command or a
command chain. On a command chain, the commands will
continue to be processed as long as the identifier
“
further com
mand follows" is set.

Task initiation
Acknowledge
Error
RESET initiation
Initiation:
Set by the user. The system will reset the flag and set the acknowledge flag.
Acknowledge: Set by the system after task has been performed. Reset by the user and by the system upon new
initiation.
Error:
Set by the system. Exact description of errors is in DB 1 DW 54/56 (see also chapter 3.2.1). When an
error occurs, the acknowledgement bit is set at the same time.
RESET:
Set by the user. Reset by the system after execution. A command being executed will be cancelled by
the error message
“
RESET executed". For a RESET command, the flags 16.3 (17.3) and 16.0 (17.0)
must be set simultaneously. The RESET signal is always acknowledged with the acknowledgement
flag 16.1 (17.1).
ECC operation: Set by the user. If flag 16.5 (17.5) is set to
“
1", processing will be carried out with ECC (Error Correction
Code); if set to
“
0", processing will be without ECC.
ANW:
Set by user. If Flag 16.6 (17.6) is set to
“
1", processing will be carried out with presence; if reset to
“
0",
without presence. At the same time, bit 16.0 (17.0) as well as bit 16.3 (17.3) must be set (with
presence: program FY 16/17 = 49H).
ANW bit:
Set by the system. If flag 16.6 (17.6) is set, flag 16.7 (17.7) indicates whether data memory (MDS) is
present in the field or not.
ECC operation: ON/OFF
Presence check: ON/OFF
ANW bit : 1 = MDS in field
Connection 2
The structure of the MOBY-I connection 2 is analogous to the structure of connection 1. DW 53 and 54 are simply replaced by DW 55
and 56, and FY 16 is replaced by FY 17.
