Establishing a Serial Connection
To establish a serial connection, connect your MOBIC to the host computer.
Connect your MOBIC (RS 232 port) via a serial cable (see Section 1.4) to the
COM port of your host computer (Figure 6-2) and follow the instructions on the
screen.

Use only the supplied serial cable.
Icon
Once the connection to your MOBIC is established, an icon appears in the status
bar of your MOBIC in the form of a connection icon (see Figure 6-3).
