Preparing the sampling point
NOTICE
Basis for determining the sampling point:
•
Preceding project planning (e.g., based on the SICK application questionnaire).
•
Information in the final inspection record of the device.
•
Regulations of the local authorities.
Responsibility of the operator
•
Determining the sampling point (e.g., determining a representative sampling
point).
•
Preparing the sampling point (e.g., load carrying capacity of the welded flange).
•
Feeding and discharging the protective gas.
Preparations
Note
Determine the installation location
Observe the ambient temperature of the
GM32,
see "Technical data", page 100
.
Observe the space requirements for:
•
Device components
•
Space required for maintenance, e.g.,:
–
Swiveling the enclosure door open
see "Dimension drawings: Sender/receiver unit
Ex version", page 103
Determine the installation location for the con‐
nection unit
Observe maximum line lengths.
Provide the power supply for the connection
unit.
Observe the power requirements,
Lay the signal lines.
Determine the installation location for the Ex
purge air unit
Provide clearance for changing the filter ele‐
ment (see Technical Data of purge air unit).
DANGER
Risk of explosion by suctioning air from Ex zone 1
The Ex purge air supply may not suction air from Ex zone 1.
b
Observe zone separation of the purge air supply, air may be suctioned only from
the non-Ex zone or from Ex zone 2.

Scope of delivery
NOTICE
The data of the final inspection record and the data of the order confirmation must be
identical.
b
Compare the data of the final inspection record with the data of the order confir‐
mation.
b
Check the scope of delivery according to the order confirmation/delivery note.
