Make sure that the lever switch is in the
OFF position.
If the lever switch is in the ON position,
be sure to move it to the OFF position.

Friction unit
NOTE
If operating the lever switch while the plate
unit cover is removed, press the friction unit
with your finger so that it does not fly out.

Set the rear derailleur to the lowest gear.
Remove the plate stopper pin (B) with a
screwdriver.
