you can have the machine and cordless
handset show the name and number of
the caller when you receive a call.

If the area code

phone number (within your area

(This will remove the area code from
local numbers stored in the Caller
ID list, allowing you to automatically
dial those numbers from the list (see
Caller ID list

If you do not need to have the area
code removed from local numbers
in the Caller ID list, press
