9.2 DANGER IDENTIFICATION AND PREVENTION MEASURES
9.2.1 Common risks
When the systems and the units are provided with labels of type:
it is mandatory to follow the
indications reported on them
In case of devices sensitive to
electrostatic discharges,
identified by one of the symbol
below,
it is necessary to handle them using all the measures suitable to reduce the risks deriving from the
accumulation of electrostatic discharges. In this case, use a protection constituted by an antistatic
wristband and by a coiled cord to be used in the following way:
•
The antistatic wristband has to be worn around the wrist so that to guarantee a good skin
contact;
•
The coiled cord has to be connected to the antistatic wristband and to the relevant
equipment ground clamp.
•
These devices must be compliant with the European EN 100 015-1 standard
