The user traffic is encapsulated, according to RFC2684, on AAL5 of ATM operating in compliance
with the ITU-T I.363.5 and ITU-T I.361 normatives.
In the ‘cell forwarding’ applications, the Alyseo 106 terminals realizes an ATM NNI interface, able
to switch the ATM cells between E1 G.703 and SHDSL interfaces. The ATM stream on user side
is mapped on the G.704 frame in compliance with the G.804 recommendation.
Up to 100 crossconnections of VC and VP type are supported.

2.2.4 Frame Relay Port
The Frame relay port can be selected between V.35 interface or G.703 interface. The port
supports up to 100 contemporary PVC connections. Each connection is characterized, in totally
independent way from the other ones, by the number of DLCI’s, by the traffic parameters and
according the service class as follows.
The CIR, Be and Bc traffic parameters are used for DLCI to determine the policing of the incoming
traffic. The interval for the measurement of the traffic is calculated according to the formula
T=Bc/CIR; the frames that exceed the CIR within the interval are marked by bit DE=1, otherwise
they are forwarded. The frames that exceed the Bc+Be value within the T interval are discarded
because they exceed the band assigned for the connection.
The Frame Relay port has a management level realized with the LMI procedures according to
Annex A or Annex D and CISCO standard, configurable as unidirectional DCE side or DTE side or
bidirectional, selecting the different timers and polling intervals foreseen by the normatives. The
function can be disabled.
2.2.4.1 V.35 interface
If the V.35 is selected as physical interface, it is possible to program the clock direction and the
nx64 bitrate with n within 1 and 36.
