Segway Personal Transporter SE Service Manual
11 CU Board
This chapter describes troubleshooting, removal, and installation procedures for
the Control Unit (CU) Boards on a Segway PT. There are two CU Boards on each
Segway PT.
WARNING!
• Failure to follow these safety precautions could lead to electrical shock,
serious injury, death, or damage to property.
• Read all instructions.
• Power off the Segway PT.
• Unplug the Segway PT.
• Remove batteries before servicing.
CAUTION!
• When a repair involves opening the console or chassis cover, best
practice electrostatic discharge (ESD) control procedures must be
followed. Failure to follow ESD procedures could result in personal
injury or damage to property.
When to Replace
Replace a CU Board when diagnostic testing determines the board is defective.
For diagnostic procedures, contact a Segway Service Representative.
