Traffic information services
available from the highways agency
You can speak to an advisor at the Highways
Agency Information line 24 hours a day on
0300 123 5000 . These advisors have access
to live traffic data so You can get updates on
all major incidents on motorways and major A
roads across England.
You
can also use this
service to report any urgent road safety issues,
for example debris on the road.
There are over 2,000 large electronic signs
across the Agency’s network to inform
You of
traffic conditions ahead. They also carry road
safety campaign messages such as warning
You to slow down or reminding You not to use
a mobile phone while driving.

access to up to date information
on the current traffic conditions including
unplanned incidents such as accidents
and congestion, lane closures and other
restrictions due to improvement works.
