Maintenance Checks

Guide Shoes

Guide Shoes [26937; 29.07.2008]

1

Remove the lubricators (7) on each car sling side.

Check that all fastening screws (5) of the guide shoes (1) are tightened.

3

Check the clearance between the guide rail (3) and the guide shoe lining (2):

The clearance must be

≤

1 mm

–

The total gap A + B must be

≤

4 mm.

Add or remove wedge (6) between the guide shoe support/upright (4) and
guide shoe (1) to adjust the gap A + B.
If these clearances can not be achieved any more replace the guide shoe
lining (2) of all four guide shoes (1).

Check that the thickness of each guide shoe lining (2) is

≥

5 mm or with

cast

≥

14 mm, see pictures. Else replace all four guide shoe linings (2).
