Upper main contacts (NC contacts) – only for C195 W/
X
Loosen the terminal nuts (18) from the threaded
bolt of the upper main contacts (NC contacts) and
remove them including washers.
X
Loosen the lock nuts (19) and remove them in-
cluding washers.
X
Remove the upper main contacts (NC contacts)
(20) downwards from the cover.

Assembly
X
Insert the new main contacts (17) into the contact
unit (2).
X
Lightly screw on the new main contacts (17) with
the two hexagon screws (16) and washers (the
screws must be loosened again later for cable or
busbar installation).
X
Only for type C195 W/:
Insert the new, upper
main contacts (NC contacts) (20) from below into
the cover and screw them tight from above with
washers and locknuts (19). Torque: 5 Nm
X
Only for type C195 W/:
Screw the terminal nuts
(18) including washers only lightly onto the
threaded bolts.
X
Insert the contact bridge unit into the contakt
unit, see section.

Install the armature at the bottom side of the con-
tact unit. See section
“Disassembling/assembling
the armature – type C195 A/, B/, S/, T/, W/” on page
48.
ATTENTION
Incorrect installation of the contact unit due to two
possible installation positions leads to malfunctions
and destruction of the contactor.
X
Before installing the contact unit on the mag-
netic drive, observe the previously noted cor-
rect orientation in relation to the base plate.
X
Carefully place the contact unit on the magnetic
drive.
X
Place the cover on the contact unit

Tighten the contact unit including cover to a
torque of 0.8-1 Nm. See section
“Disassembling/
assembling the contact unit – type C195 A/, B/, S/,
T/, W/” on page 46.

Reconnect all connecting cables or busbars (main
contacts, auxiliary switches and coil connections),
see
“7.2 Electrical connection” on page 21.
X
Finally, subject the contactor to a complete check
as described in section
“7.4 Checks” on page 31
.
