Contactors C195 Series – Installation and Maintenance Instructions
Assembly
ATTENTION
Installing the pole packs with wrong magnetic pola-
rity (north pole, south pole) will lead to malfunctions
and destruction of the contactor.
X
Before installing the pole packs (10), check the
previously noted, correct alignment of the mag-
netic poles, see
Fig. 40
.
X
Insert the two pole packs (10) one after the other
into the pole plates (9) and screw them to the sides
of the two pole plates (9) using the 4 screws (8).
X
Tighten the 4 screws (8) with a torque of 2-2.5 Nm.

Removing/inserting the pole plates –
type C195 X/
Requirement
The pole packs are disassembled, see section
“Disas-
sembling/assembling the pole packs – Typ C195 X/” on
page 35.
Disassembly
X
Pull the two pole plates (9) out of the grooves (15)
on the cover and remove them upwards.

Insert the two pole plates (9) into the grooves (15)
on the cover and push them down as far as they
will go.

Tools required

Set of Torx bits or Torx screwdriver set

Torque spanner
Disassembly
ATTENTION
Incorrect installation of the contact unit due to two
possible installation positions leads to malfunctions
and destruction of the contactor.
X
Before disassembling, note the orientation of
the old contact unit in relation to the base plate.
X
Unscrew the 2 screws (1) on the cover (7) of the
contactor.
X
Carefully lift the contact unit (2) off the magnetic
drive (3).
