Set the amplitude on the Test Signal Generator back to 2.00 degrees mechanical,
and then set the waveform back to squarewave. Check the appearance of the
squarewave and step time shown on the Oscilloscope. Adjust the Servo Gain, Low
Frequency Damping and High Frequency Damping as needed.
W.
Gradually increase the amplitude on the Test Signal Generator toward your largest
intended projection angle. (Note that this time, you are using a squarewave instead
of a sine-wave). Carefully watch for overshoots in the projected image and also on
the Oscilloscope. (You will need to increase the Position Scale Factor setting in the
Oscilloscope.) If you see any overshoot, you should stop increasing the amplitude of
the Test Signal Generator and adjust the Slew Rate Limiter. To do this, click on the
Intermediate tab, then decrease the
Slew rate for positive movements
and the
Slew
rate for negative movements
settings to eliminate the overshot. Then continue to
increase the amplitude on the Test Signal Generator until you have finally gotten to
your intended maximum.
X.
Set the amplitude on the Test Signal Generator to 0, to allow external Command
Input signals to control the Mach-DSP.
