Troubleshooting and Maintenance
When light fault occurs, the system issues alarm signals (The VFD doesn’t record light fault, just display the fault),
the indicator light will blink, after troubleshooting, the alarm is cleared automatically. When light fault occurs during
operation, the VFD doesn’t stop. The light fault occurs before MV in the VFD power on, then it can set the “MINOR
FAULT ENERGIZED”. If the selection is enable, the MV power of the upper of the VFD can be switch on; If select
disable, the MV power of the upper end of the VFD is forbidden to switch on.
Light fault includes:

Fan fault alarm

Transformer over temperature alarm

Cell cabinet over temperature alarm

Cabinet door open
●
Analog set line drop
●
Cell bypass
●
Motor overload
●
HMI non-communication
●
Cooling fan power loss

Heavy fault includes:
● External fault
● Transformer overheat
● Motor over current
● Cabinet overheat
● Cell fault
● VFD overcurrent
The
SINUS MV
General MV VFD has a complete fault monitoring and protection mechanism. The fault can
be divided into two categories: light fault and heavy fault. The system only issues an alarm when light fault
occurs, the VFD can be switch-on, started and running. When heavy fault occurs, the MV power will be cut off
immediately, the fault information is recorded and the system will be latched.
