6.8 System Bypass Function (recommended)
When the VFD failed and can not guarantee the normal running of the motor, but stop is not allowed at the site,
bypass cabinet can be selected to realize the bypass function, and put the motor into the network frequency
running.
The bypass cabinet can be divided into manual bypass cabinet and auto bypass cabinet. If the system can stop
in a very short time, adopt the manual bypass cabinet, and switch by the operator; if stop is not allowed by the
system, adopt auto bypass cabinet to switch automatically. After switching the motor to the network frequency
running, the VFD can be isolated from the MV power and convenient for maintenance.
6.9 Master Slave Control
The master-slave control is designed for multi drive application conditions, and its system is driven by 2 or more
MV VFDs. At the same time, the shaft of the motor is coupled through a coupling, a chain, a gear, or a conveyor
belt, etc device couple together. Through the master-slave control function, the load can be evenly distributed
among the motors.
When the master slave control is applied, the master slave control of system parameter should enable. And the
host set to be master mode and slave set to be slave mode. An optical fiber communication between thehost and
the slave machine. The host will transmit information to the slave in real time, such as running, rotating speed,
torque and so on. The slave will respond to the data instructions transmitted from the host according to the data
measured by itself.
6.10 Low Frequency Oscillation Restrain
The asynchronous motor speed regulation system powered by VFD often oscillates at some low frequency
segments. This oscillation will not only cause harmful mechanical vibration, but also make the motor current
fluctuate, shorten the service life of the motor and other electrical equipment, and greatly affect the quality and
reliability of the system operation.
SINUS MV
MV VFD can maximum restrain oscillation of the system’s low frequency in the 1~16Hz range. When the
VFD type chooses ASYNC MOTOR VFD, it can restrain oscillation by adjusting the SPEED INTEGRAL TIME 1.
