2.3.6 Stopping the engine
1) Gradually cool down the engine by running at low idle
for about 5 minutes.
IMPORTANT
• Do not bring a hot engine to a sudden stop except for an emergency. This will
shorten the life of its component parts.
• Do not allow an overheated engine to come to a sudden stop, but run it at middle
idling speed for gradual cooling down before shutting off.
2) Turn the starter key to the OFF position to stop the
engine.
CAUTION
Do not turn the starter switch OFF while the
machine is in motion.
3) Remove the starter key.
WARNING
• When dismounting from the machine, apply the brake by pressing the parking
brake button. If necessary to park on a grade, block the wheels to prevent
unexpected moving down the grade.
• Never fail to remove the starter key
2.3.7 Check after stopping the engine

drums.
2) Fill the fuel tank.
