users...
By default Windows 98 will use the local area code when dialling
the
*99***1#
number to establish the Internet connection.
To prevent this do the following:
In the
Dial-up Network
dialogue (Double-click the icon
My
Computer
, then the icon
Dial-up Network
) the installed Dial-
up network connection via the SAGEM RT3000 is represented
by an icon.
1. a) Click on the icon with the right mouse button.
b) In the context menu select
Properties
.
2. In the displayed dialogue select that the local area code is not
to be used.
DNS server address
configuration
If you like to enter „common“ Internet addresses (i.e.
www.sagem.com
), when surfing the World Wide Web with
your Internet browser, you need to configure before a DNS
server address.
To configure the DNS server address, please do the following
steps:
1. Open
the
Properties
dialogue of the
Dial-up
Network
installed before for the SAGEM RT3000.
2. Depending on the used operating system you will
find fields to enter the address of a Primary and a
Secondary DNS server under
TCP/IP settings
or
Networking
. Enter at least the address of a Primary
DNS server.
Your GSM/GPRS operator will tell you the DNS server
addresses. Check the documents you have received with your
SIM card, have a look to the operator’s WEB side or call the
Hotline.
