Most Useful Areas for Biometric Data
The terminal is designed to capture the area containing the most useful biometric data. In
fingerprints, this is usually at the center of the first phalanx.
This is illustrated in the figure below:

The sensor is designed so that when the fingertip is in contact with the rounded hollow guide, the central
zone of the first phalanx is aligned with that of the section dedicated to fingerprint capture.
