Step 5: Accura 2300 External Communication
Ethernet Communication
Accura 2300 supports Ethernet communication for high-speed transmission of large metering data received
from multiple Accura 2350s. Accura 2300 is equipped with an Ethernet switch that allows two Ethernet ports to
be daisy-chained to multiple Accura 2300s without requiring an external switch. Up to 20 Accura 2300s can
be daisy-chained, and can be wired with star and ring connection also. The standard protocol, Modbus TCP, is
supported for measurement data transmission.
Accura 2300 supports RSTP(Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol), so ring connection is possible. Even if one wire is
disconnected during ring connection, communication is resumed on the opposite path within a short time, so
data loss can be minimized.
Note
For fast recovery in case of ring connection, ring connection is made using Ethernet switch supporting
RSTP(Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol), and priority should be adjusted so that switch is set as root.
