Follow the recipe of any store-bought cake
mix. Or, make your own! One box of cake
mix SteamBakes
™
perfectly inside your
(included) 8-cup High Heat Rectangular
container.
Directions:
1. First remove the Charcoal Filter from the Fryer lid’s Filter Cartridge and replace it the
plastic SteamBlocking Sheet
™
(with tab). Snap the lid of the cartridge holder back in
place.
2. Pour 5 Qts. of water into the Inner Cooking Bowl. To measure your water to 5 Qts. ,
use the embossed line on the vertical Heating Element or use your own measuring
container.
3. Now, Insert the SES.
4. Spray cooking oil inside your 8-cup Rectangular container.
5. Place the 8-cup Rectangular Container with your cake batter into the 5in1 Wire Basket
with attached handles. Lift the fi lled basket up above the Fryer and place the handles
into the draining position holes which are located above the locks on both sides the
SES.
6. Place Fryer Lid (with the SteamBlocking Sheet
™
inside the cartridge) on the top of the
SES.
7. Turn the Thermostat Dial all the way to 385°F and set Timer Dial to 45 minutes. After
45 minutes, the bell will ring and the Fryer (and its light) will turn off.
8. Immediately reset the Timer for 25 additional minutes. This time when the bell rings
and the light turns off, your cake is done.
9. With your protective gloves on, remove lid and the fi lled Wire Basket. Place the Wire
Basket on an absorbent cloth or some paper towels and allow your cake to cool for
an hour before frosting and/or eating it.
