8.1  Check list before start up and programming 

 
 
 
 

1.  A speech unit is connected to the central unit 
2.  An alarm button is connected to the speech unit or to the central unit. As an alterna-

tive a speech unit with integrated alarm button can be used 

3.  All jumpers are mounted to the non used alarm button inputs 
4.  The battery is mounted and both battery cables are connected to the battery 
5.  A SIM-card is mounted according to instructions in section 6.1.1 above 

 
If  other  equipments  will  be  used  such  as  loop  amplifier,  emergency  light,  telephone  handset 
for intercom, etc, they must also be connected to the central unit before power is connected.  
 

6.  Connect external power to the central unit.  

 
 
 
 

8.2  Setup of programming mode 

Before EC II GSM SE can be programmed it must be set to programming mode.

The programming mode is automatically disconnected after 30 seconds if no key is pressed. 
It is possible to manually exit the programming mode by pressing: 
 

 

 

 

8.3  Standard functions which must be programmed 

Below  follows  a  description  of  the  most  frequent  programming  sequences  which  is  used  to 
program  the  EC  II  GSM  SE.  A  number  of  optional  functions  are  presented  in  the  following 
section. 

8.3.1  Programming of PIN code 

In order to be able to connect to the GSM network the PIN code of the SIM card must be pro-
grammed.

 correspond to the PIN code of the SIM card.  

The following must be checked before the power is connected to the central unit! 

When  external  power  is  connected  LED  A  becomes  green.  For  more  information 
regarding the other LED´s, see section 13 

 

If the SIM card has no PIN code activated this step is skipped 

 

An active programming mode is indicated by a 4-tone from the loudspeaker of the 
speech  unit  and  a  flashing  red/green  LED  both  from the  speech  unit  and central 
units. The flashing continues as long as EC II GSM SE is in programming mode
