Mechanical Dock Leveler Hydraulic Conversion

HYDRAULIC CONVERSION
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
CLEAN AND LUBRICATE LEVELER
1. Lubricate rear hinge. Eliminate any
concerns where binding may occur.
2. Lubricate lip spool. Eliminate any concerns where
binding may occur.
CLEAN PIT
1. Remove all debris from pit floor. Areas of special
concern are in the center of the pit where the base
bracket for the ramp cylinder will be mounted, and
where the pump will be mounted.
2. Check the concrete at the center of the pit. Confirm
that the concrete is in good condition and able to
support the weight of the platform in this area.
IMPORTANT
The platform of the leveler must not have
any obstructions on centerline of the
leveler. The conversion package will not
perform correctly if the ramp cylinder is
not mounted on the centerline of the
leveler and directly beneath the deck
plate.
Insure the structural integrity of the
leveler. Make sure the leveler will have
at least five more years of useful life
after the conversion is complete.

LOCKOUT/TAGOUT PROCEDURES
When working with electrical or
electronic controls make sure

locked out and tagged according
to OSHA Regulations 1910.147
a n d a p p r o v e d e l e c t r i c a l c o d e s .
