This connector allows direct connection to any 10baseT ethernet network via its RJ-45
locking connector. Two diagnostic LEDs are provided, one orange and one green. When lit,
the green LED indicates that the LINK is good and that the network cable and hub are
capable of transferring data. The Orange LED will light every time data is detected on the
cable. This can be used to verify that network traffic is present. The LED will light for any
data passing by, even that which is intended for other computers on the network. The front
panel HD LED, used for both hard disk and network activity, will light when data intended
for your computer is received.
External Serial port:
This port implements a standard RS232 interface, using ±12V switching.

As with the internal serial port, an active (positive) signal will trigger a wake-up serial event.
If enabled and the machine is in standby, the power management unit will automatically
switch on the machine. This can be used to turn on your computer remotely by dialling in to
a connected
modem.
