Step 5
Apply dedicated grease to the Guide Rod.
Use new Cleaning Applicator(large) for application.
CAUTION:
Be sure to use the Cleaning Applicator dedicated to Ri 1000
and dedicated grease.
This grease is designed for this purpose and the applicators are lint
free
–
use of incorrect grease and the accumulation of lint can cause the carriage to
malfunction and need to be replaced if the guide rods are not cleaned and greased correctly
Step 7
As shown in Fig. 1,

Apply approximately 0.01 ml of grease to each of the six peripheral
parts of the arrow.

After putting grease, apply it to the full range of the dot-dash line and adjust it.
Refer to Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 for the circumferential grease application range of the Guide Rod.
