closed, and the DNP3 endpoint is back to listening state. Default is 5
seconds (5,000ms).
Validate UDP Source Address:
the field controls whether to validate the
source IP address of received UDP datagrams. This provides a small
amount of additional security when using UDP. Disabled by default.
TCP Listen Port Number:
when using TCP, the field defines the TCP port
number to listen for inbound connections. The default port number is
20000, which has been registered by the DNP Tech. Committee with the
IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) for use with DNP3.
Local UDP Port Number:
when using UDP, the field defines the port
number to use to send and receive UDP datagrams on. Default port
number is 20000. Please note that this number will often have to be
changed when using loopback testing as the master software will
usually try to open UDP port 20000 too.
Initial UDP Unsolicited Port Number:
when using UDP Only connection,
the field specifies the destination UDP/IP port to send the initial
Unsolicited Null response to.
TCP Keep-Alive Interval:
the field specifies the time interval in
milliseconds for the device to send a dummy TCP packet to avoid idle
timeout for an opened connection. The specified time interval should
be longer than the timeout defined in the remote site. The default is 1
minute (60,000ms).
