Survival Inc. Using unspecified adhesives may have unexpected side effects resulting in
premature failures.
B.
The adhesive mixture has a storage life of 1 year in the sealed container.
C.

PREPARATION OF SURFACES
Caution:
VERY IMPORTANT – The synthetic rubber material used for the buoyancy
chambers/floor/arch-tubes must have the surface contamination
completely removed by thoroughly cleaning the coated surfaces with a
Petroleum or Toluene type cleaning solvent.
A.
Before cleaning the fabric, the area to be repaired and the repairing patch should be
roughened with emery paper. The roughened area on the raft should extend about 2in
(5cm) around the area to be repaired. Repair patches should also exceed the damaged
area by 2in (5cm).
B.
The fabrics must be prepared for bonding by thoroughly cleaning the surfaces with the
solvent immediately before application of the first coat of adhesive. The solvent is applied
with a lint-free fabric pad, wet but not dripping with the solvent.
