SAFETY DEVICES
The boiler is fitted with the following safety devices:
PRESSURE SWITCH
Checks the pressure in the smoke duct. It shuts down the pellet loader auger if the outlet is obstructed or in
the event of significant back-pressures (wind).
SMOKE TEMPERATURE SENSOR
It detects the temperature of the smoke, permitting start-up or shutting down the boiler when the
temperature of the smoke drops below the default value.
CONTACT THERMOSTAT IN THE FUEL TANK (KLIXON)
If the temperature exceeds the safety value set, it immediately stops boiler operation
CONTACT THERMOSTAT IN THE BOILER
If the temperature exceeds the safety value set, it immediately stops boiler operation
WATER TEMPERATURE SENSOR
If the water temperature approaches the shutdown temperature (85 °C), the sensor forces the boiler to
perform a series of cooling cycles or to shut down automatically in “ECO-STOP” to prevent the shutdown of
the aforementioned bulb temperature sensor.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
The boiler is protected against violent current surcharges by a general fuse situated in the control panel at
the rear of the boiler. Other fuses to protect the electronic boards (motherboards and exchanger board) are
situated on the latter.
SMOKE BLOWER
If the blower fan stops, the electronic board promptly suspends the supply of pellets and the alarm message
is displayed.
GEARED MOTOR
If the geared motor stops, the boiler continues to operate until the flame dies out due to lack of fuel and
until the minimum cooling level is attained.
BRIEF POWER FAILURE
After a brief power failure, the boiler automatically switches to cooling mode.
FAILED START-UP
If a flame fails to ignite during the start-up phase, the boiler alarm is triggered.
ANTIFREEZE FUNCTION
If the sensor inside the boiler detects a water temperature of less than 5 °C, the circulation pump is
automatically started to prevent the system from freezing.
ANTI PUMP SHUTDOWN FUNCTION
If the pump is left unused for an extended period of time, it is started at regular intervals for 10 seconds, to
prevent it from shutting down.
THE SAFETY DEVICES MUST UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES BE TAMPERED WITH
The boiler can only be started up after the cause that triggered the safety system has been
identified, thereby restoring the functioning. To troubleshoot the fault, please consult this manual,
which illustrates - depending on the error message - what to do to the boiler and how to remedy the
fault.
