9.4.
OPERATION
9.4.1.
Operating principle
When the boiler is switched on at the
button, after the initial start-
up phase which lasts on average 15 minutes, and during which the
display
(8)
shows the intermediate phases “FAN ON – LOAD WOOD –
FIRE ON“, the boiler runs in AUTOMATIC mode at average power, and
performs a first check of the temperatures to attain.
The room temperature is shown on the upper display
(8)
of the panel
while the temperature of the water inside the boiler is shown on the
lower display alternately with H
2
O.
In this operating mode, only the desired room temperature can be
adjusted using buttons
and
.
The primary goal of the boiler is to take the room temperature
detected by the thermostat (internal or external) to the
temperature set by the user.
Consequently, depending on the room temperature, the
following evaluation is made:
Room temperature < Thermostat temperature?
YES
This means the boiler has to heat the room and will therefore
begin to raise its burning pace progressively up to maximum
power
NO
This means the boiler has achieved its goal of heating the room
and will therefore lower its power down to minimum and will stay
there until the room temperature drops below the temperature set
on the thermostat; unless the ECO-STOP function has been
enabled (See paragraph 4.9.3)
It is vital for correct functioning that the room
thermostat (internal or external) detects the
temperature reliably, since correct operation is based
almost entirely on the above check.
9.4.2.
Operating mode
The AUTOMATIC mode makes it possible to arrange and set a given
temperature to attain. In this operating mode, the boiler will
automatically adjust its heat output in order to keep the value set
previously, i.e. the temperature in the room, constant.
As described above, the temperature is adjusted using buttons
and
in steps of 1 degree Celsius.
This setting will be stored for the subsequent start-up.
Operating examples:
If the room temperature detected by the room sensor situated on the
boiler is 15 °C and the temperature set on the thermostat is 22 °C, the
boiler gradually reaches maximum power and on attaining the
temperature set (22 °C), it will switch to minimum power or to ECO-
STOP mode
